Commitment is more than words

At Defence Coating Systems (DCS), our commitment to our clients goes beyond words. It's etched into every project we undertake, every innovation we introduce, and every investment we make. One such investment, our on-site coating facility at our Wingfield Factory, stands as a testament to this commitment.

A Symbol of Dedication

In 2022, we poured almost half a million dollars into this facility, not just as a business expansion but as a pledge to our clients. This specialised spray booth, spanning over 70 square meters, is more than just a structure; it's a symbol of our dedication to delivering large format projects with precision and excellence.

Our Legacy in Defence

DCS's journey in the defence sector is both rich and varied. We've specialised in coating intricate defence equipment, ensuring they meet the highest standards of durability and precision. But our capabilities don't stop there. We've also taken on monumental tasks like painting the Air Warfare Destroyers, showcasing our ability to handle projects of immense scale and significance. These experiences, from standard projects to the massive, underscore our versatility and dedication in serving the defence sector.

Strengthening our Defence Commitment

Defence isn't just a sector we operate in; it's a significant and growing part of our DNA. With defence projects forming a substantial portion of our portfolio, our new facility not only bolsters our capability but also solidifies our position as a pivotal supplier within defence manufacturing supply chains. This facility, while supporting five jobs, is also a beacon of our commitment to the local community and the broader defence ecosystem.

Collaboration at its Best

Our collaboration with global technology and security giants like Kongsberg is a shining example of our client-centric approach. John Fry, General Manager of Kongsberg Defence Australia, remarked, “We are delighted to have Defence Coating Systems working with us as part of our growing Australian supply chain. The major investment they have made to their facility in Wingfield, South Australia, is very impressive, and they are a great example of an Australian-owned defence industry SME contributing to sovereign capability.”

Delivering Excellence: The NASAMS Project

The NASAMS project stands as a testament to our capabilities and our commitment to excellence in the defence sector. Produced by Raytheon Technologies and Kongsberg, this state-of-the-art weapons system enables the Australian Army to swiftly detect, engage and destroy threats. Our specific role in painting the NASAMS Mk 2 canister launchers for this project underscores our dedication to precision and our ability to meet the advanced requirements of national defence projects as part of broader supply chains.

In Conclusion: Our Promise to Clients

As we reflect on our journey, our investments, and our partnerships, one thing remains clear: At DCS, our clients are at the heart of everything we do. Our new spray booth is not just an investment in infrastructure; it's an investment in our clients, in our future, and in the promise of what we can achieve together.
