Our commitment to quality customer service, a positive attitude, and production flexibility has enabled us to tackle a vast range of projects, from simple and small to large and complex.
We have worked across every industry sector since 1996, including defence, automotive, agriculture, healthcare, and construction, building long-term relationships with our customers, some of whom have been with us since our founding.
Defence Coating Systems was established in 1996 by Andrew Inglis and Lou Surace. The original name of the business was Controlled Powder Coating.
We expanded our services, to offer surface preparation to our clients.
Constant high volumes of defence work led to the name change to Defence Coating Systems (DCS).
Based on our defence experience we were appointed to the AWD project and established a secondary DCS presence at ASC Osborne to paint the Air Warfare Destroyers. This project was completed in 2020.
We made this change to provide full turnkey solutions for our clients, enabling us to offer additional services available from Rowlands Metalworks, Spark Furniture, and Pecan Lighting.
For the next generation of defence projects and large-size components, we built one of Australia's largest on-site coating facilities at our Wingfield location.
We are committed to reviewing and improving our processes and operations to deliver superior client outcomes! As such, our certifications include:
